Inter face competition from Tottenham Hotspur for Sampdoria centre-back Joachim Andersen as the Dane prepares to face the Nerazzurri at San Siro tomorrow.

Andersen has played the full 90 minutes in all but one of the Blucerchiati’s league matches this season, having been suspended for the match against Juventus on 29 December, and has been strongly linked with a move to Inter in recent months.

However Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Saturday that Tottenham are now strongly interested in the 22 year-old, with Manchester United and Juventus making enquiries in the past.

Should Andersen move to Inter he would become the latest in a long list of deals completed between the Nerazzurri and Sampdoria, the most recent of which saw Milan Skriniar switch clubs in 2017.

Giampaolo Pazzini, Eder and Jonathan Biabiany have all made the same move since 2010 while Alfred Duncan headed in the opposite direction 2014.

Patrik Schick could also have joined Inter two summers ago but the Czech forward ultimately signed for Roma instead.
