Former Inter captain Mauro Icardi, if not for any last minute change of plan, will not even be present in the stands for this evening’s match at San Siro between Inter and Sampdoria according to a report from broadcaster Sky Sport.

Instead, the Argentine striker will be at Inter’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre with his future looking set to be away from the club.

The report continues that there will be problems when it comes to working out just how much to sell him for though. While he does have a €110 million release clause in his contract – valid only to foreign clubs between July 1-15 – it is unlikely that Inter will be able to sell him for this with other clubs unlikely to be willing to pay that for him and the extra baggage that comes with him, namely his outspoken wife/agent Wanda Icardi.

Icardi has made 28 appearances across all competitions this term in which he has scored 15 goals and tallied three assists.
