Inter are planning for a plan b situation in case the club are unable to patch things up with former captain Mauro Icardi and have therefore lined up several names including Juventus Paolo Dybala as possible replacements, Turin based Tuttosport report.

According to the report, AS Roma’s Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko is the ideal profile, seeing that his contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire at the end of June 2021, and the club are not prepared to extend his contract, and therefore are willing to part ways with the former Manchester City striker in the summer.

Other names being discussed are PSG striker Edinson Cavani as well as Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata who has been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri for quite some time.

However, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta’s dream signing remains that of Juventus Paolo Dybala, something that can only happen of his relationship with Juventus deteriorates.

But first Inter will have to deal with the Mauro Icardi situation and the Nerazzurri’s stance is very clear: either they receive €110 million or he will stay until the end of his contract which expires in June 2021.
