Inter’s Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi wants to hold a joint press conference together with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and coach Luciano Spalletti, to clarify the events of the past week to avoid further speculation, according to Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Accoeding to the report: “Icardi would like to have a press conference together with Marotta and Spalletti to clarify things. His representatives strongly deny any friction with his teammates, emphasizing that there are many players that are still on Icardi’s side.”

“Even former Inter President Massimo Moratti, who publicly criticized the removal of the captaincy from the Argentinian, called the Icardi family to talk to Wanda, to cheer her up in a sense. The former captain is adamant that he is prepared to stay until the end of his contract, which ends in June 2021, without setting a foot on the pitch.”

Should this not happen “Wanda has an excellent relationship with Juventus Sporting Director Fabio Paratici, who remains a possible destination for the Argentinian striker, as does Chelsea.”
