Inter made it three wins from three in all competitions after defeating Sampdoria 2-1 in Match Day 24 of the Serie A at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, after goals from Danilo D’Ambrosio and Radja Nainggolan.

Samir Handanovic – 6.5: First time as a captain at the San Siro for which was applauded before the match. Then again during and after the match for great saves.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 7.5: Quite possibly his best 80 minutes in an Inter shirt. Barely put a foot wrong defensively and was very good when going forward.

Milan Skriniar – 6,5: Made a mistake which resulted in the equalizer but aside from that he was the usual tower in defence we have come to get used to.

Stefan de Vrij – 6,5: Football is played with the mind as much as with the body and few defenders demonstrate this as well as the Dutchman. So good.

Henrique Dalbert – 7: If this is the real Dalbert it certainly has been worth waiting for. Faultless defensively, always an option in attack and a hard tackler.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6: Brozovic has spoilt everyone that he is no longer allowed to make a single mistake. Made a few today but makes amends and then some.

Roberto Gagliardini – 6: Good first 1 hour for the former Atalanta man. His passing was very good and looks like a viable option once matchfit.

Matteo Politano – 6,5: Constant threat down Sampdoria’s left flank. Only criticism is that he still overworks the situations too much. Unlucky not to score.

Radja Nainggolan – 7,5: A pitbull in the middle of the pitch. Chased the life out of Sampdoria’s midfield and was allowed to crown his performance with a goal.

Ivan Perisic – 7: This is the Ivan Perisic that led Croatia to the World Cup Final last summer. Simply mesmerizing performance. Welcome back Ivan.

Lautaro Martinez – 6,5: His flicks, backheel passes and elegant touches in link up are a delight to watch, but he lacks in physique in one on ones.

Joao Mario – 6: Came on in the 60th minute for Gagliardini and was cool, calm and collected with the ball, just like the player he replaced had been.

Antonio Candreva – 6: Was brought on in the 69th minute for Politano but Sampdoria wouldn’t have noticed as he continued hammering down that flank.

Matias Vecino – N/A: The Uruguyan international replaced Nainggolan in the 89th minute and didn’t play long enough to be graded.

Luciano Spalletti – 6,5: Got his tactics spot on today as every single player he showed faith in repaid him with interest in playing like a team.

Daniele Doveri – 5,5: Very picky and nervous performance by a referee who in the first half was handing out yellow cards like candy at Halloween.

Inter – 6: A very important win and decent performance. Showed a variation and imagination in attack that Inter have been lacking for very long.
