Inter president Steven Zhang has assured that there is ‘no chance’ that former captain Mauro Icardi will be moving to Juventus in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

“In football you can never say never to business with Juventus,” Zhang said in an interview with Rai Sport.

“However, in this specific case there is no chance that Icardi will go to Juventus. We talked a lot last week and we want to stick to this story.”

He then went on to confirm that contract talks are ongoing with the Argentine frontman despite the events of the past few days involving him.

“We are negotiating a renewal with Icardi, but our philosophy is that the team is always greater than the individual,” he said.

He concluded the interview by speaking on Inter’s big plans for the Summer transfer window.

“Our transfer market campaign next summer will be better than the last one.”
