Former Inter player Riccardo Ferri is convinced that the recent chaos surrounding Mauro Icardi at Inter will be resolved and has insisted that the Argentine has a duty to return to action.

“Everything will be resolved in the best way,” Ferri said in an interview with RMC Sport.

“The hope is that the Icardi question ends well as those of Brozovic, Perisic or Nainggolan, and that is the hope of all the Nerazzurri fans.

“Icardi can still make a difference from here to the end of the season and while Lautaro gives his heart and soul and can improve, he just cannot be compared with Icardi.

“Icardi has a duty to rejoin the group and get back into things. Look at Perisic’s performance with Samp for example. Even in the difficult months he has had, the Croatian has always taken to the pitch.”

In conclusion he was asked if he thinks there is a problem between Icardi and Inter manager Luciano Spalletti.

“I disagree about the talk of there being a fall out with the manager. I say this because in these moments, every declaration creates disturbance.”
