Inter have begun their preparations for Thursday’s Europa League round of 32 second leg clash with Rapid Vienna today according to a report from Sky Sport.

Birthday-boy Mauro Icardi is still receiving physiotherapy in a bid to bring down the inflammation in his right knee, an injury that has kept him out of the Nerazzurri’s past two games.

Even if he does get cleared to play, it undoubtedly remains up in the air as to whether or not he will given the recent controversy he has been embroiled in with the club that has seen him stripped of the captain’s armband.

The report goes on to state that it is unlikely that Keita Balde will feature on Thursday as he continues in his recovery from a thigh injury that has sidelined him for the past few weeks.

The Senegalese winger was named in the Inter squad for the win over Parma two weeks ago but the game ultimately came too soon for him and he did not feature.
