Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport examines the exchange of words between Fabio Paratici and Beppe Marotta and at the centre of the discussion, Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala.

The exchange of words were triggered by the Juventus Director of Sport, before the Nerazzurri CEO of sport collected his thoughts and responded.

Marotta’s answer to Paratici is one which was thought out carefully and contained some anger, because Inter does not like the interference in a matter that is already terribly complicated to manage. Juventus and Paratici, however, consider these sentences as nothing but conjecture. For Inter and Marotta, there is no need to fuel a fire that is struggling to go out on its own. The response from Marotta can also be read as: “If you want to flirt with Icardi, just know that we could do the same with Dybala.”

Marotta has also indirectly responded to Massimo Moratti, when he said: “The times of patronage are over, the big clubs are backed by companies and ours with Icardi are in a normal position.”

The Gazzetta also gives an update on the situation of the Argentinian striker, after the words of his wife-agent Wanda Nara on the ‘Tiki Taka’ TV show appeared conciliatory. The idea of the couple seems clear, If Inter do not give him the captaincy, Mauro will not come back to play at Inter. This is most likely the position of the former captain’s wife-agent, which has emerged over the last few days. It is also reported Icardi will demand an apology for the removal of the captaincy, which to him does not seem fair.

As for the future renewal of the contract that Inter will present, Icardi and his wife will not pay it much attention at this stage.

Today, Icardi turns 26 and there is curiosity to see everyone’s reaction at Appiano Gentile.
