Cafu: “Icardi Needs To Think About Playing, It’s Up To Him If He Wants To Or Not”

Cafu has shared his thoughts on the current situation that Mauro Icardi finds himself in at Inter following the events of the past few weeks/months.

Tension has existed for quite some time between Icardi, his wife/agent Wanda Icardi and the club and the latest – and one of the most damning – chapters was written last week as he was stripped of the club captaincy.

“I could not care less but he has to think about playing,” the former Milan and Brazilian international defender remarked in an interview with Omnisport, following the earlier comments of Alessandro Del Piero and Luis Figo to the same news outlet.

“There are matches to be played and teammates to be respected,” he continued.

“The captain’s armband has been taken from him as evidently something happened.

In conclusion, the two-time World Cup winner, insisted the ball is firmly in Icardi’s court.

“Now it is up to him if he wants to play or not.”
