According to a report from Sport Mediaset, there are number of potential suitors lining up for Inter striker Mauro Icardi.

The Argentine is at the centre of large controversy at the club and was recently stripped of the captain’s armband before refusing two call-ups with him citing injury problems as the reason behind it.

Inter however today put the 26-year-old frontman through testing and the tests results were no different to those recorded as pre-season began, suggesting there is no injury problem at all.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are long standing admirers of him while Napoli and Juventus have both recently come forward as interested in signing him.

Should Icardi go on to leave the club, it would appear that Inter have already got some targets in mind.

The report goes on to state that they have identified Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata as the man to possibly replace Icardi and he could cost up between €40-45 million.

Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella is another target as is Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic. Sport Mediaset detail that Inter have made a €30 million offer for Rakitic but have been knocked back.
