The recent – and very public – tension between Inter and Mauro Icardi has been slightly reduced, at least according to a report from Sport Mediaset.
At training yesterday, the day he celebrated his 26th birthday, the former Nerazzurri skipper had a brief chat with sporting director Piero Ausilio which is the cause of the tension decreasing.
Today, Icardi will undergo a medical check-up to determine the severity of the inflammation in his knee that has caused him to miss Inter’s past two games and is likely to miss tomorrow night’s game in the Europa League at home to Rapid Vienna.
For the past week he has underwent physiotherapy on his knee, something he has been keen to document through social media, particularly on Instagram where he has published many stories.
This season he has made 28 appearances across all competitions and has scored 15 goals in total, nine of which have come in the league.
