New Palermo president Rino Foschi is hopeful about the Italian club’s chances in the Europa League tonight.

“The games are very difficult but anything can happen,” he said in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

“I hope the Italians will all do well. I am convinced that our teams will give their best.

Foschi also weighed in on the recent chaos involving Mauro Icardi, his wife/agent Wanda and Inter.

It is a problem that starts from afar. A player’s agent must be a professional, you can not just invent an agent overnight,” he continued.

“The fact the problem is born from afar is at the base of the problem. An agent plays a fundamental role and it takes a lot of professionalism.”

Foschi also gave his opinion on up-and-coming Italian star Sandro Tonali, who is sure to be subject to plenty of interest from clubs in the Summer.

“He is one of the most interesting young people in his generation. He has great prospects but I do not know if he is ready to join an important team right now, but he is certainly a player with interesting qualities.
