Inter have wished former Inter player Sinisa Mihajlovic a happy birthday as the now Bologna manager celebrates his 50th birthday.

“He was a Nerazzurri player for two seasons from 2004 to 2006 and scored seven goals in 42 appearances in all competitions,” a statement posted on the club’s official website reads.

It continues: “While at Inter, he won one Scudetto, two Coppa Italia titles and one Supercoppa Italiana. He then spent two years on the Nerazzurri’s bench as assistant to Roberto Mancini.

“From FC Internazionale Milano and Inter Forever, best wishes to Sinisa Mihajlovic, who is celebrating his 50th birthday today.”

The Serbian enjoyed a 20-year long playing career that began at home town club Vukovar way back in 1986. The former midfielder, who was renowned for his free kick taking ability during his playing days, also played for the likes of Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade, Sampdoria and both Rome clubs, Roma and Lazio.
