Former Inter player Riccardo Ferri is convinced of the capabilities of the current crop of Nerazzurri players based upon their recent performances.

Inter’s 4-0 win over Rapid Vienna in the Europa League last night extended Luciano Spalletti’s sides winning run to four matches.

“In this moment, Inter are in a position that allows them to face anyone. There are some things to be solved inside the dressing room, but in terms of quality, the team responded well,” Ferri remarked in an interview with RMC Sport.

Ferri progressed to discuss the situation of Mauro Icardi at the club.

“I believe that there is great desire from within the company to solve the problem but it also requires the same from other side,” he continued.

“Wanda Nara and Icardi have to soften up and review their mistakes, especially the ones that affect the team.

“He will have to deal with his teammates and find the solution firstly with them and then with the club. If he does not find a solution then an alternative must be found.

“The club must protect the team for the sake of the targets they wish to achieve. Inter can finish in third and win the Europa League too.”

He concluded by speaking on Inter’s match with Fiorentina this weekend.

“The result will depend on the attitude that the team will have. They will have to know how to suffer and when to sink their blows.”
