Inter defender Milan Skriniar has revealed that he is on the verge of striking an agreement over a new and improved contract to prolong his stay with the club.

“When I play, I always try to do my, regardless of who the opponent is. This spirit, in my opinion, must be within every single player,” he remarked in an interview with Sky Sport.

“In the last 3-4 matches we ran and fought to the end. Certainly we have been more united and have had a leap in quality.

He was then quizzed on his future with the club, specifically the ongoing contract renewal negotiations.

“We are close to reaching an agreement, I have a great relationship with the club.”

In conclusion, the Slovakian defender was asked about if he feels he can still improve.

“As I said earlier, I always want to do my best in training and in every game.

“Perhaps that is really where my growth came from. Of course, the coach’s confidence is also important for the growth of a player.”
