Alessandro Bastoni will return to Inter this summer and form part of the Nerazzurri’s defensive options next season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Bastoni is currently on a season-long loan at Parma where he has become one of this year’s revelations in Serie A, starting each of the Ducali’s last 13 league matches under Roberto D’Aversa.

Inter are monitoring the 19-year-old’s progress and the club are expected to opt against sending him out on loan again next year, instead opting to integrate Bastoni into their own defence.

This summer could see a number of comings and goings in central defence for Inter as the club look to reshuffle their squad.

Milan Skriniar will remain after confirming in midweek he is close to extending his contract, but Miranda and Andrea Ranocchia are both out of contract and neither are in talks for a renewal.

Inter must also take a decision regarding their right-back spot, with Cedric due to return to Southampton once his six-month loan expires.
