Inter coach Luciano Spalletti stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia to share his thoughts about tomorrow’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Artemio Franchi against Fiorentina.

“It is a very difficult match because they are in great form right now. Pioli has done a great job and they have excellent players up front. In football what you have done doesn’t matter but what counts is what you manage to do. I did not even know [that Pioli has never defeated me], I only know that every time I have played against him I have found teams that are well organized and that are well trained.”

“It is clear that Chiesa is an important talent that can give a contribution to raise the level of football a team plays, also at an international level. His quality to beat his man and score goals is an important one but I like coaching my own players.”

Spalletti then turned to the shortage in attack given the injury problems that Mauro Icardi and Keita Balde are currently experiencing.

“I hope to recover one of Keita and Icardi as soon as possible, I hope to be able to have both of them as soon a possible. When you have to play so many matches it is not easy, in a normal situation it wouldn’t be a problem as we have the numerical level in the squad which allows us to take on these difficulties.”

“The wins always come from the manner in which we work, the power and strength of the players. We have players that are worthy of playing for Inter.”
