Inter’s Slovakian international central defender Milan Skriniar stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on tonight’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, against home team Fiorentina, with kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.

The former Sampdoria man was asked if having played on Thursday in the Europa League will have any effect on the Nerazzurri players in terms of fatigue, which he didn’t acknowledge.

“Qualifying for the round of last 16 in the Europa League gave us another push of energy. Not many days have passed since the match against Rapid Vienna but we are ready to win this match which is fundamental for us. Fiorentina are very dangerous on the counterattack but we have to remain concentrated, play our game and remain united.”

In conclusion Skriniar was asked about the compliments made about him by former Sampdoria teammate and current Fiorentina striker Luis Muriel.

“I know him, he is strong, he is very fast and has a great shot, we will see what will happen on the pitch.”
