Mauro Icardi is not in Florence with his teammates for tonight’s match against Fiorentina with him set to sit out for his fourth straight match.
He will however not be at home with his feet up but rather he will be in at Inter’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre training ground to partake in some physiotherapy organised by Inter’s club doctor Dr. Volpi, Gazzetta dello Sport detail.
Icardi will be joined by Keita Balde who remains sidelined with an injury to his thigh that he sustained in training about a month ago.
Tomorrow the 26-year-old’s condition will be re-evaluated by the club’s medical staff and a decision will be made as to whether he will return to action starting with next weekend’s match away to Cagliari.
Inter are waiting on Icardi to take the next step rather than force a return during what has been a delicate few weeks between the parties.
