Milan Skriniar is on the verge of signing a new contract with Inter that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2022/23 campaign according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Slovakian defender is currently under contract until the end of the 2021/22 season and earns an annual salary of €1.7 million but the new deal will see his salary jump to €3 million annually.

For much of his time with Inter, there has been a wealth of interest in his services, particularly from the Premier League and the renewal may help deter some of that interest in Skriniar, who Gazzetta believe is worth €100 million.

The renewal also puts the idea that he will be sacrificed for financial fair play purposes at the end of the season to bed.

This season Skriniar has made 31 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri in which he has helped Inter record 12 clean sheets.
