Samir Handanovic is sure that if Inter show a similar spirit to the one they did in the 3-3 draw with Fiorentina for the remainder of the season then they shouldn’t fear anyone.
“It is normal that we are angry,” he told Rai Sport after the game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
“We are angry but we have to think about the next game now.
“There were so many episodes to see in the game and it’s not the first game where the game has been fragmented and required us to recover a lot.
“Perhaps we need to understand when to speed up more and when to intervene.”
Inter seemed set to see out a 3-1 win but Handanovic believes Luis Muriel’s sublime free kick inspired the hosts to go hell for leather to get something out of the game which they did in the end.
“We were handling the game well but Muriel’s goal gave them a bit of life back and without having anything to lose, they went all out for it.
“Credit to Muriel for his goal. When a goalkeeper concedes they are always guilty and then you can only make assessments afterwards.”
Asked how the team were feeling in the locker room directly after the match Handanovic added: “The team is united and the spirit is right, we do not always talk about what happened.
“If we show the same spirit as we did today in the rest of our matches then we shouldn’t be afraid of anyone.”
