Sky Sport journalist Luca Marchetti has examined a possible outcome of the ongoing tension between Inter and Mauro Icardi.
Tensions between the parties have been high due in part to the comments made by the player’s wife/agent Wanda Icardi in the media.
Tensions have been taken up a notch in recent weeks with Inter taking the decision to strip Icardi of the captaincy.
Moreover, the Argentine striker has not been in the squad for the five games, including the squad for tomorrow night’s match away to Cagliari.
“Inter is a very strong club and a proud one too. Therefore, even as a matter of principle, they could decide not to give up Icardi until there is a clarification of sorts,” Marchetti remarked in the Sky Studios.
“If Icardi will be on the market there will be no shortage of suitors. The problem is knowing if he is on the market or not and available at what price.”
