In the event that Inter and Mauro Icardi part ways in the Summer, the Nerazzurri have two potential replacements in mind in the shape of Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku and Roma’s Edin Dzeko according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lukaku finds himself behind Marcus Rashford in the United pecking order and the report suggests that this could lead him to consider his future at Old Trafford which in turn would perhaps help Inter in signing him if he is actively seeking an exit.

As for Dzeko, the Bosnian has 14 months left to run on his current deal with the Giallorossi who seemingly have no intention of offering the 32-year-old a new deal. He knows Serie A well and would also bring a lot of European and winning experience to the club.

The Milan based newspaper’s report also states that Inter will not sell Icardi within Italy so it will have to be a foreign club who prizes him away. If no foreign clubs come forward, Icardi will obviously stay at the club.
