Inter will make at least two midfield signings during the Summer transfer window according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

One of the players Inter have their eyes on is Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella. The Italian midfielder was one of the protagonists of the Rossoblu’s 2-1 victory over Inter on Friday and has long been courted by the Nerazzurri.

Barella shares an agent with Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan in Alessandro Beltrami and Inter had the opportunity to meet with Beltrami at the game although the report stresses that negotiations are currently not underway.

Another player that Inter are keen on is Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic. Rakitic, who was a World Cup runner up with Croatia last Summer, has been linked with Inter for a few weeks now and would fit Inter’s reported transfer strategy of being a big player with a lot of quality and personality.

With Frenkie de Jong coming in and Adrien Rabiot seemingly going to follow suit, Rakitic, who will turn 31 next week, could find playing time reduced which could lead to him seeking a move away which would thus make things easier for Inter.
