Inter should do everything within their power to try and win the Europa League this season, according to Italian journalist Paolo Condò.

Luciano Spalletti’s side will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the last 16 of the competition, with the first leg set to take place in Germany on Thursday.

The Nerazzurri are not yet certain of a place in next season’s Champions League after being overtaken in the Serie A table by Milan on Saturday, yet Condò doesn’t think they should snub the Europa League in order to concentrate on the league.

“Inter, just like Napoli, need to do their best to try and win the Europa League,” Condò told Sky Sport.

“The fact Milan are no longer in Europe could make them favourites to secure Champions League qualification.”

Inter breezed past Austrian outfit Rapid Vienna in the last 32 but will encounter much tougher opposition in Frankfurt, who are currently fifth in the Bundesliga after beating Hoffenheim 3-2 this weekend.
