Former Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has shared his thoughts on the two Milanese clubs building a new stadium together to replace their current shared San Siro home.

“I think a collaboration between the two teams could be the ideal solution,” he said in an interview with Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.

He then spoke on the upcoming Milan derby which will take place in just under two weeks.

“I never miss a Milan match, so I think I will also see this match. After so many years, it has something at stake. The Milanese are back in front of the Romans. I hope Milan and Inter both qualify for the Champions League.”

Galliani, who is now a director at Serie C side Monza, concluded the interview by being asked about what he thinks of the ongoing saga between Inter and Mauro Icardi.

“Giuseppe Marotta is a great director, so I will not comment on it.”
