Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was in attendance for last night’s match between Atalanta and Fiorentina in Bergamo in order to do some scouting according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
He was watching four players in particular, three of whom belong to the Bergamo club and the other to Fiorentina.
Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata was one of the players Ausilio was keeping an eye on. The Colombian striker has drawn links to Inter in recent weeks due to the ongoing saga involving the club and Mauro Icardi.
He is understood to be one of many strikers that the Nerazzurri are courting alongside the likes of Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
Ausilio was also watching Atalanta full back’s Timothy Castagne and Robin Gosens.
Above all though, Ausilio was there to watch Fiorentina ace Federico Chiesa. If he could be signed for a reasonable price, he would become one of Inter’s main transfer targets during the Summer.
