Inter legend Evaristo Beccalossi has spoken on the ongoing Mauro Icardi saga and shared his belief that Inter can still qualify for the Champions League without the Argentine.
“The loss of the armband was a big problem, but you have to talk about it face to face,” he said in an interview with Sport Italia.
“There are always problems in the changing room, but in the end everything revolves around the field, where only the shirt you wear is important.
“The leadership has clear ideas, I can guarantee that. Now we must understand if Icardi can still be useful to the cause with his goals but he has to be careful as he still has two years on his contract.
He continued: “In my opinion, even without Icardi, Inter can finish in the top four. Obviously though, they must try to recover him even though in the last few games the team got back on track without him.”
He concluded the interview by speaking on Icardi’s wife/agent Wanda.
“She has to be careful about what he says, she can still be a columnist but will have to not say a few things.”
