Inter believes that the physical therapy which Icardi has been receiving on his right knee, has ended, but the Argentinian continues to turn down the commitments and yesterday reiterated his decision not to take to the field.

Therefore he will not take part against Eintracht Frankfurt after he told Spalletti and Dr. Corsini that he still felt pain in the joint. At this point, it cannot be excluded that the number 9 will not return to the pitch with the Inter shirt for the rest of the season.

This is a scenario that Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport canot rule out. “The conversation yesterday with coach and doctor was theoretically supposed to be preparatory ahead of today’s summit, with the same executives present, but Icardi has not given any signal of reconciliation, declaring to still feel pain, a move for which Inter cannot oppose.”

The moment for talking, therefore, has passed. There will be no mediation, as at this point it is considered useless by the club given the position of Icardi. He therefore wants a meeting with the president, who will return to Milan at the end of next week, a few hours before the derby.

It is then imaginable that at least until that date his position will not change: bed, physiotherapy, a few moments in Appiano and then away, with contacts with his teammates kept to an absolute minimum. With regards the future, nothing can be excluded.
