Mauro Icardi will not be part of Inter’s squad that travels to Frankfurt for Thursday’s Europa League match with Eintracht Frankfurt according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

In yesterday’s meeting between himself, the club medical staff and Inter manager Luciano Spalletti, he stressed that he was still feeling pain in his knee and it is for this reason that he will miss his sixth straight game.

The report goes on to state that it is possible that Icardi may not be back in action until after the international break which would mean missing the second Milan derby of the season in 12 days time.

Speaking of the international break, it will be then when Icardi will sit down with the entire Inter management, president Steven Zhang included, to examine and discuss the situation.

The 26-year-old striker has made 28 appearances this season for the club in which he has scored 15 goals and tallied three assists.
