According to Rome based Corriere dello Sport, Inter are not the only ones that are after Federico Chiesa as Roma are also following the talented Italian winger.

The club is still waiting to know the future of Monchi and Di Francesco, but they have prioritized Chiesa as one of their transfer targets.

The player is very unlikely to leave Fiorentina for a sum less than 70-80 million euros, so Pallotta would need to make some sacrifices in order to be able to afford Chiesa, but who can he sacrifice? The first name would be Nicolo Zaniolo.

“Monchi has already prepared a contract with Zaniolo’s agent, the contract will be worth around 2 million euros plus bonuses and it will be signed in the Summer. This contract will tie Zaniolo with Roma until 2024 and will not have a release clause.”

“This contract implies that the player will not leave next Summer, but no one is safe at Roma as they are still not certain that they will have the financial support from qualifying for the Champions League, and it will be quite difficult to say no to any club that offers them a large sum of money.”

“Juventus, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are all interesting and would be willing to make an offer for the player. Even though the player himself talked about wanting to shine in the Roma jersey, situations can change very quickly in the football world” the Corriere reports.
