Inter midfielder Matias Vecino’s automatic one game suspension for a yellow card accumulation has today been confirmed by sporting judge Gerardo Mastrandrea.

The Uruguayan will miss Inter’s game this weekend against SPAL as a result of picking up a card in last Friday’s 2-1 loss in Sardinia against Cagliari but will be back for the Milan derby the following weekend.

Mastrandrea also confirmed that Vecino’s Inter teammate Milan Skriniar, who was also booked against Cagliari, is among a number of players in the league that are one booking away from being handed an automatic suspension.

With the Milan derby coming up as mentioned above, the Slovakian centre back could well be rested by Inter boss Luciano Spalletti for the game against SPAL because if he is to be carded and ends up suspended for the derby it will be a huge blow to Inter’s chances given his importance to the team.
