Lautaro Martinez will be the main striker against SPAL, but El Toro will be suspended for Inter’s next game in the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt at home.

Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport analyzes the options that Spalletti will be considering.

“Keita will return to the squad against Spal and could possibly play for about fifteen minutes, but to think of relying on him from the first minute against Eintracht on Thursday seems to be too risky. It is more likely that he will be gradually introduced back onto the pitch. Keita has the characteristics of being a number 9 and is the ideal solution if both Icardi and Lautaro are missing.”

P”Meanwhile there is good news, as anticipated by Spalletti, the injury reported on Thursday evening by Perisic is not serious. This does not mean that he is guaranteed to step foot on the pitch though against Spal though, but against Eintracht, the Croatian could act as a striker with Politano and Candreva on the wings.”

“It is difficult to think that Spalletti will rely on youngsters like Colidio or Salcedo to start the game. The last solution would be to use Politano as a false 9. Politano would use his dribbling skills to work his way around the central defenders.”
