Former Inter Captain and club legend, Giuseppe Bergomi appeared on Sky Italia’s Sunday night Football show, Sky Calcio Club, where he spoke about his former club and their 2-0 win yesterday at home to SPAL.

He went on to analyze Inter’s performance saying: “during the first half I saw the same slow movement of the ball; I noticed a team that was preoccupied and worried, if a player misplaces a pass at the moment the 65,000 spectators at the San Siro can become a problem for those who don’t have great personality and strength. This team has been built with great structure so you have a find a half an hour where you have to create. The most important thing yesterday though was to win and they did.”

Bergomi who was nicknamed “Lo Zio” (the uncle) during his career went on to speak about Thursday nights’ return leg of Inter’s UEFA Europa League tie against Eintracht Frankfurt: “It is difficult, with the Financial Fair Play and the limitations set for Inter because of it, the same players have to play all the time. There are structural difficulties but the first half last week I didn’t like what I saw from Eintracht Frankfurt. In the secind half however, Inter’s performance dropped. The German side remains a dangerous opponent however.”
