According to a report from Il Sole 24 Ore, the Milan clubs tasked Goldman Sachs with analysing a potential new stadium from an operational and financial point of view.

Milan and Inter tasked the American investment bank with the analysis six months ago and any information on the analysis is not yet available, at least publicly.

Milan appear set on the idea of building a new stadium on the grounds of the current San Siro car park but Inter remain undecided on the matter.

In recent weeks, as per various reports, delegates from the clubs have toured the United States to examine some of the state-of-the-art stadiums in the country for some inspiration.

Atlanta United’s Mercedez-Benz Arena is one such arena to have been examined while NFL franchises New York Giants and New York Jets’ shared MetLife Stadium has also been looked at due to the fact it is a shared facility just like San Siro is currently and what any possible new stadium will be.
