Milan coach, Gennaro Gattuso was sent to the stands at the weekend during his sides 2-1 away win against Chievo Verona in Serie A. Tomorrow he will find out what his punishment will be after the sending off but early reports seem to suggest that he will not face a suspension however freeing him to manage from the sidelines in this weekends eagerly anticipated Milan Derby at the San Siro.

Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sera reports today that Gattuso who during his playing days played for Glasgow Rangers and Milan, does still risk a suspension but it is unlikely that this will happen. The more likely punishment seems to be a warning with a fine to be paid by the Calabrese manager. The paper goes on to say that the report doesn’t contain any words of insult from Gattuso. Gattuso was sent off after a coming together between himself and Chievo Verona striker, Meggiorini. However, Meggiorini himself seemed to backtrack and absolve the Milan manager of any major wrong doing when talking to referee, Pairetto in the tunnel by saying “Nothing happened we cleared it all up, everything is ok.” Will this be enough to completely exonerate Gattuso from any blame it remains to be seen.
