Until Mauro Icardi makes himself available for selection again, it is difficult for a positive solution to be found to the recent drama between himself and the club according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
Last month he was stripped of the Inter captaincy and has not played a game since with him officially ruled out with a knee injury despite Inter’s tests showing there is no problem.
Since making himself unavailable for Inter’s match against Rapid Vienna, he has underwent physiotherapy and has trained separately to the rest of his Inter teammates – something that continued on Monday and looks set to continue for a little time longer yet.
The 26-year-old has made 28 appearances for the club across all competitions this season in which he has scored 15 goals and tallied three assists with his last appearance for the club coming on February 2nd as Inter squeezed past Parma 1-0 away from home.
