Turin based newspaper Tuttosport have looked at the ongoing Mauro Icardi saga with Inter and one of the main problems needing resolved in the shape of his return to the dressing room.

“Beyond the diplomatic work between  Beppe Marotta and the lawyer chosen by the Icardi’s, Paolo Nicoletti, which can lead to a truce between the club and the player’s entourage, the most important game is played in the locker room,” their report reads.

“If Icardi – who carried out the usual customised training schedule yesterday – will still not consider fundamental clarification with the rest of his companions, it will be difficult to achieve a peaceful return for him.

“Inter players, as well as manager Spalletti, are expecting words from Maurito. Maybe not an official apology, but at least the reasoning for what has happened and the right attitude when he comes back into the group.”

The report concludes: “Icardi , however, does not consider this to be necessary, but at the same time it is not clear then what stops the Argentine from getting off the couch and getting back at the disposal of the team.”
