Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed that several high-profile Inter ultra’s are in for big prison sentences for their respective parts in the violence that preceded Inter versus Napoli on Boxing Day last year.
Several ultras on both sides were arrested in connection with the violence that resulted in the death of one high-profile Inter ultra, Daniele Belardinelli and many are due to be sentenced on March 20.
The details of the sentences are as follows:
Nino Ciccarelli, the leader of Inter’s Viking ultra group: 5 years, 8 months and 10 days and an 8 year football banning order.
Marco Piovella, the leader of the Nerazzurri Boys group: 4 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Alessandro Martinoli, a Varese ultra: 4 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Francesco Baj and Simone Tira, two Inter ultra’s, who have been in prison since the end of December, are to be sentenced to 2 years, 11 months and 10 days.
Finally, it remains to be seen if Inter ultra Luca Da Ros’ plea bargain will do him any good. Da Ros has been working alongside Police to try and help them and this may well help his case.
