Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has spoken ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League match at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.
“We have to be inspired to do well. We always have to grit our teeth, we have to put our qualities on show so we can get a result,” he told broadcaster Sky Sport.
“Tomorrow’s game will be much the same as the first match. We have to start how we did in Frankfurt and command the first half. In the second half they raised the intensity and we suffered as a result.”
Spalletti then spoke on Matteo Politano and was full of praise for the Italian who seems set to start as striker tomorrow.
“Politano is the player who is capable of solving problems. His goal on Sunday was perfect, control and shooting in zero seconds, which would have entered even without the deviation in my opinion because it hit very well. He has already played as a striker before and knows what to do.”
He concluded by being asked if he is thinking of Sunday’s Milan derby.
“Absolutely not, we have to think about tomorrow’s game.”
