Inter youngster Edoardo Vergani has signed a contract extension with the club through to the end of the 2022/23 season, the club have confirmed.

“FC Internazionale Milano is happy to announce that Edoardo Vergani has renewed his Nerazzurri contract,” a statement posted on the official club website reads.

“The young striker born in 2001, whose goal decided the 70th Viareggio Cup and who played a key part for Italy during the most recent Under-17 European Championship, has signed a new contract up until 30 June 2023.”

Vergani has been with Inter since 2014 when he joined the club at Under 16 level from Monza. He was promoted to the Under 17 side in the Summer of 2017 and has played his football for Inter’s Primavera side since last Summer.

This season the 18-year-old has made eight appearances across all competitions although he has been limited to just 262 minutes on the park in which he has been unable to score or assist in.
