Inter goalkeeper and captain Samir Handanovic has insisted that he and his Inter teammates must move on following Thursday night’s 1-0 Europa League loss to Eintracht Frankfurt which eliminated the Nerazzurri from the competition.

“There are still a lot of games to go, we are already thinking about the next one. We did not play as well as usual today but we need to move on with our heads up,” he remarked in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“It is a bit of an emergency at the moment, we did not have many players available for this game and some of them had not played much recently, the opponents ran hard and put us in difficulty physically.

“We need to show something extra even if lots of players gave everything today despite not having 90 minutes in their legs. They left space open for us but we lacked mental and physical sharpness, we can only think about Sunday now.”
