Marcelo Brozovic is ready to start for Inter in Sunday’s crucial Milan derby after shaking off a thigh injury, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian was taken off during the first half of last weekend’s 2-0 win over SPAL as a precaution and sat out Thursday’s Europa League elimination against Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, Luciano Spalletti will restore him to his starting XI against Milan as the Nerazzurri chase vital points in the race for the top four.

Inter will make four changes in total from the defeat at San Siro last night, with Mauro Icardi and Radja Nainggolan the only players available.

Lautaro Martinez will return up front after being suspended against Frankfurt with Keita Balde dropping to the bench, while Joao Mario replaces Antonio Candreva.

Borja Valero will make way for Brozovic in midfield while Kwadwo Asamoah should come in for Cedric Soares at the back.

Inter (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah; Vecino, Brozovic; Politano, Joao Mario, Perisic; Martinez.
