Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is looking to repeat the feat achieved by compatriot and fellow Nerazzurri striker Mauro Icardi, in tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.

Turin based Tuttosport report in today’s paper edition of the newspaper, that the former Racing Avellanada man is looking to rely on Icardi’s precedent in scoring against AC Milan.

“The 21 year old attacker can get strength from a precedent he set himself. The last time Inter defeated a big team in the Serie A was against Napoli when Lautaro scored the only goal of the game, when the two sides med at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Decmber 26th.”

“Since then Inter have not gone head to head with any of the big teams, disregarding the Coppa Italia clash and defeat against Lazio. This is why the precedent set against Napoli could serve as a source of strength both the player as well as the entire squad. The win against Napoli was the first big match Inter have won in this season’s Serie A without a contribution from Icardi, who instead scored in the derby as well as the 3-0 win away against Lazio.”
