Inter & Milan Yet To Decide Definitely Whether To Build New Ground Or Just Renovate San Siro

Inter and Milan are continuing to work on the issue of the stadium but are yet to definitively decide whether to build a new stadium entirely or just renovate San Siro, according to a report from Tuttosport.

The clubs have recently had delegates in the United States to examine some of the state-of-the-art stadiums on offer for some inspiration for a potential new shared ground that would be built next to the current ground.

Moreover, they have called upon Goldman Sachs to perform a financial analysis on a possible new ground, the results of which are expected by the end of this month. It can be presumed that this analysis will play a big part in any final decision on the stadium.

Milan, since the arrival of Ivan Gazidis, have shown a real preference toward building a new ground while Inter’s preference is not yet known and they are seemingly awaiting results of the analysis before making a decision.

The report from the Turin based newspaper concludes that San Siro renovation costs could be similar to the cost of building an entirely new stadium, in which case the decision would become pretty obvious that a new stadium is a better idea.
