After a disappointing performance in Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, Tuttosport are expecting Inter winger Ivan Perisic to redeem himself in tonight’s Milan derby.
The 30-year-old Croatian was valued at around €40 million after a stellar showing at the World Cup in Russia last Summer but his value has declined in recent months with him far from being the player he was then.
On occasion he has shown signs of his true self but ultimately those signs have not been enough and the Turin based newspaper believe that he will not be part of the ‘next’ Inter starting from next season.
This season he has just five goals, four of which in the league and seven assists, just three of which are in Serie A action. This time last season in the league he had double the amount of goals and 11 assists.
A performance from him will be absolutely pivotal tonight as Inter continue to chase Champions League qualification.
