Inter’s Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia to share his thoughts after the first 45 minutes in the Serie A derby della Madonnina against AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

The former Fiorentina man was pleased with his teams performance but underlined that the match is far from over.

“What is important is that we have been able to find space behind their midfielders in order to be able to hurt them. We did this really well in the first half, now we have to continue down this path. We have to continue to look to do the same things with intensity, in order to keep looking for that second goal.”

Vecino opened the scoring in the derby after only three minutes in the first half, latching on to a headed assist by Lautaro Martinez and smashing home the ball.
