Former Inter and Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has shared his thoughts on tonight’s Milan derby and firstly discussed Inter striker Mauro Icardi, who will miss the game.
“It is a pity that Icardi is missing the derby. He is wasting his time by sitting out,” Pirlo began in an interview with Tuttosport ahead of tonight’s spectacle.
He was then asked for who he favours to win this game.
“In the derby there is never a favourite team. Milan is doing fine while Inter are so-so after the defeat in the Europa League, but the derby is always a game completely in itself, so you can not ever say who will win.”
He concluded the interview by speaking on Milan striker Krzysztof Piątek and Milan midfielder Suso.
“Piątek is in a very good form while Suso less so but he remains a top player and a player that could decide the derby.”
