Despite leading Inter to a 3-2 Derby della Madonnina win over Milan last night, the situation has not changed and Luciano Spalletti will in all likelihood still be replaced at the end of the season according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

Spalletti still has two years left to run on his current contract but the many negative situations, namely the situation involving Mauro Icardi, will be his downfall.

The report goes on to report that the ‘chosen one’ for the bench going forward is former Italian national team manager Antonio Conte, who has been out of work since leaving Chelsea last Summer.

If for whatever reason Inter were unable to bring Conte in, they would go after current Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.

Should both Inter’s first and second choices reject Inter’s advances, Spalletti would have the chance to remain in charge of the club which he initially took over in the Summer of 2017.
